Funny Story!

I have to tell this story before I forget it, and it's just too cute not to document. So we said goodbye to the Warpools last Thursday. They are officially gone and have moved to the Chicago area. Anyway, we spent most of the day on Thursday with Wesley, starting out at the library where there was a magician performing for the kids, who put his whole body in a balloon, I might add, and then McDonald's for lunch and a little play time for the boys, and then Wesley came back home with us to play for a while, and that night we ate at Cracker Barrel with them.

So after eating, I took Stacy and Wesley back home, since I had picked them up due to their car being in transport to Chicago and Michael loading their other vehicle at the house. Anyway, we dropped them off and said our sad goodbyes. I had left Jackson in the Jeep while I said goodbye to Wesley and Michael, but he was screaming his head off in there, so I let him out and he gave Wesley a hug, which immediately made me and Stacy cry. Of course, anything would have set us off at that point. Jackson is not a big hugger and has never been one to hug other children, so it was really sweet to see.

And on our way home, Jackson just cried and said he didn't want Wesley to move, which just broke my heart. So at bedtime, I was telling Jackson that we would write Wesley letters and stay in touch for sure, and he liked that idea a lot and wanted to write him a letter right away. So the next day he asked if we could write Wesley a letter, and I said sure, we will soon. And Jackson said, "I want to write him the letter J." How cute is that? Of course, the only "letters" he knows are letters of the alphabet. He has no concept of pen to paper letters. So innocent and sweet. He has since decided that he will also write Wesley the number 1. =)

My "good" computer is getting repaired and I can't really upload pictures from this one and crop them and Photoshop them, so it will be a while before I update the blog, maybe a week, with pictures. Jackson and I went to Missouri last week and got back home Sunday. It was a really nice trip and Jackson had a ball. He rode his bike all over the high school, which is across the street from Mom's, and Dad and Sherry took him to see the movie "UP." When I asked him if he liked the movie, he said, "It was cool!" He missed his nap two days in a row, which is usually no good, but he dealt with it pretty well. He also rode pedal cars at a place outside of Kennett. He really loved doing that! But now it's back to life and summer and getting ready for vacation. I wish I was leaving tomorrow!
